since we have so much time at home right now, it’s a great opportunity to really indulge in self-care. and what better way to do that than a great face mask? here are my favorite face masks broken down by skin concerns.
best hydrating masks
the tatcha luminous dewy skin sheet mask is one of my all time favorite sheet masks. colorado has such a dry climate, so i need all the moisture i can get and this mask is very hydrating plus it leaves my skin glowing and refreshed. another favorite option for when my skin is feeling dry, is the youth to the people hydrate and glow dream mask. this is an overnight mask that is such an amazing value for the price (a little bit goes a long way). i always wake up feeling glowy and hydrated after using it, plus it’s an allure best of beauty award winner. for a great every day moisturizing mask, i love the summer fridays jet lag mask. it’s thick and locks in moisture. it doesn’t provide as much of a “glow” as the tatcha or ytp options, but if you just need great hydration, this is the one for you. plus it also doubles as a primer. farmacy and dr. jart are two other awesome hydrating sheet mask options!
best exfoliating / brightening masks
drunk elephant’s t.l.c. sukari babyfacial is one of the best at home exfoliating treatments you can find. this cult favorite mask uses powerful aha’s and bha’s to resurface the skin and leave your skin visibly smoother and brighter. a very similar option at a slightly better price point is farmacy’s honeymoon glow. it’s not quite as potent as the drunk elephant option, but still yields amazing results and you can work up to using it more often. the tata harper, ole henricksen, and summer fridays options are all amazing as well and will leave you with glowing, brighter skin.
best detox masks
hands down the glamglow supermud mask is the best detox mask i have ever tried. it is a great option for clearing / minimizing pores and fighting acne. the skinceuticals clarifying clay mask is a very close second that works similarly. they are both definitely worth the splurge if you want clear skin. the caudalie and boscia options are great alternatives at a lower price point. if you just need a quick occasional skin detox – go for one of the sheet masks.
best splurge
both of these options are amazing, indulgent treatments for your skin, but the catch is (especially with the sheet masks) you have to use them fairly regularly to really reap the benefits. if you’re willing to splurge, then these face masks are the closest you can get to professional facials at home.
best eye masks
with all that face masking, don’t forget to give some tlc to your eyes! both of these eye masks brighten, firm, and depuff the delicate eye area and, with long term use, help diminish the look of fine lines. plus, the fact that they’re both gold, just makes them feel even more luxurious.
that’s a wrap on the face mask edition of wear this there! let me know if you’ve tried any of these or if there are any i missed that you absolutely love!
