i’ve put together a list of all of the best products to buy during the sale. i focus mostly on skincare products but also include my go to makeup and haircare products.

everything i recommend below, i have personally used and love. if you have any specific questions, don’t hesitate to message me on insta @wear_this_there or leave a comment below!

best skincare products

i’ve tried tons of skincare products, i’m kind of addicted and always in search of those holy grail items. i’ve had my fair share of product let downs, but have also found a number of products that really live up to the hype. here are my top picks for the best skincare products at sephora.

best facial peels

if you’re not using a peel or resurfacing treatment in your skincare routine, you should add one ASAP. of all the skincare products i use, peels are my favorite. they are powerful and give you real results with consistent use. they help with brightening, evening skin tone, and reducing fine-lines and wrinkles. overall they help your skin look smoother, brighter, and younger. what’s not to love?! the cult favorite, drunk elephant sukari babyfacial, is definitely worth the hype and gives great results. but a few months ago, i decided to try the farmacy honeymoon glow and it definitely gives babyfacial a run for its money. i’m already seeing results and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and glowy!

here are the best chemical peels and resurfacing treatments at sephora:

best face serums

i love a good serum and have tried quite a few different options. my all-time favorite serum is still sunday riley good genes, but i’ve also added in a few other serums into my routine as well, sometimes i switch to a retinol instead of Sunday Riley, and i use lightening products to deal with dark spots. currently my favorite is caudalie vinoperfect. i;ve been using it for over a year now and love it. it doesn’t completely get rid of sun spots, but it definitely lightens them and overall my skin looks so much more glowy when i use it! so below are my favorite serums that are actually worth the money. (note, I do not recommend using retinol with other skin resurfacing products). also, if you struggle with melasma, i have an entire blog dedicated to skincare recs specifically for that! check it out here!

best vitamin c serums

vitamin c is one of those powerhouse products that every dermatologist recommends. i’ve tried a few different options and these are my favorite. they are the top rated vitamin c serums out there according to reviews and dermatologists. (note: if you have a sensitivity to vitamin c, the sunday riley option below is very gentle and my personal fave).

best face moisturizers

i live in colorado and the weather is insanely dry here, so i am in a constant battle to keep my skin hydrated. these are the face moisturizers that actually work for dry skin, and trust me, i’ve tried A LOT of moisturizers (i actually did not like either of the popular drunk elephant moisturizers. definitely felt like they were not as hydrating as these other options and not worth the money). if you can splurge, la mer is such a luxurious and perfect moisturizer (actually worth the money). but my two favorites are the tatcha dewy skin cream (both day and night) and the caudalie vinoperfect (day only). both leave my skin feeling glowy. but if you don’t want to spend so much, moisturizer is one of the products you can spend less on and still get a good product, try the first aid beauty ultra repair cream or kiehls ultra facial cream, both for dry skin (i use these at night or the youth to the people if my skin is really dry). then you can use the extra money for a good serum, which is much more important in your routine.

best eye creams

i seriously struggled with finding a good eye cream. i bounced from product to product for years, never really that satisfied. i tried all of the top sellers like shiseido, estee lauder, belif, it cosmetics, and many more but honestly didn’t like any of them. after a lot of trial and error, i have finally found 3 products that actually work for me. the ole henriksen banana bright eye cream is probably my favorite. it goes on so smoothly, absorbs nicely and is very hydrating. i’m not that concerned with dark circles, but this cream actually brightens your eye area unlike any other eye cream i’ve tried. it’s pretty incredible. the glow recipe avocado melt retinol eye sleeping mask is another eye cream that lives up to the hype. it is so moisturizing. i love the feel of it and i love that it has retinol in it to help battle fine lines around my eyes. and lastly, the kiehl’s creamy eye treatment with avocado is just a great, simple, super hydrating option.

note: if puffiness if one of your concerns (as it is one of my major concerns) none of my favorite eye creams actually specialize in puffiness, so i just use this caffeine solution from the ordinary in conjunction with my eye cream when i’m feeling puffy and it works like a charm. plus it’s only $6.70!

best face masks

is there anything better than a good face mask? using a face mask just feels like you’re treating yourself. #selfcaresunday yes please. i’ve rounded up some of my favorite face masks below. you can also check out my post that is dedicated entirely to face masks here.

best moisturizing face masks

since i live in such a dry climate, my main concern, as noted above, is hydration. here are my favorite hydrating face masks. they are great to use regularly to just keep your skin looking glowy and fresh. they’re also really good to use after a night of drinking or travel to help replenish your skin.

another area of concern that can be treated well with face masks is clogged pores. i’ve tried a number of masks to address clogged pores, blackheads, and pimples and these are my favorites.

best masks for pores and acne

and last but not least, sometimes you just want a mask that makes you feel fabulous. these two masks are pretty pricey but if you feel like splurging (#treatyourself) these are the best options.

best luxury face masks

now onto makeup. i don’t wear a ton of makeup. and generally during the week, i don’t wear any makeup. i have a pretty simple routine and like a very natural look. over the years, i’ve tried tons of products, but these are the ones i always come back to. the laura mercier tinted moisturizer is my all time favorite. but when i’m looking for more coverage i go with giorgio armani luminous silk foundation. and nars, the multiple stick is the one makeup product i couldn’t live without. it gives such a nice, natural glow but also provides a bit of contour. plus it can also be used on your lips and eyelids (i use the shade south beach). shop all my top picks below.

best makeup products

last but not least, these are my favorite haircare products at sephora.
