one of my go to comfortable shoes for travel is a pair of white sneakers. they are still super on trend and they are SO comfortable for walking around a lot. a good pair of white sneakers are the perfect shoe for exploring european cities or charming beach towns. i literally can’t remember the last trip i took without my trusty white tennis shoes in tow.
one of my favorite pairs are superga cotu classic sneakers. this italian brand is all over europe and definitely has caught on in the u.s. too. they’re super affordable, comfortable, and breathable (great for hotter days/climates). they are also pretty minimal and feminine so can easily be worn with sun dresses, skinny jeans, and anything in between! the one caveat with these is that they are canvas so can definitely get dirtier pretty easily. i’ve thrown mine in the washing machine a couple of time and this has seemed to clean them pretty well. otherwise, i spot clean them with dawn (yes, the dishwashing soap). it seriously gets out ANY stain! way better than shout or any of those other clothing “stain removers”.
i also recently bought the veja v-10 lace up sneakers and love the way they look. they’re more sporty but still sleek. plus this brand is dedicated to fair trade and labor practices, sustainability, upcycling and transparency. they use organic materials, source leather from responsible producers, and have vegan leather options. read more about their dedication to sustainable production on their website here.
golden goose sneakers are the it shoe of fashion bloggers everywhere. i’ve never had a pair but have heard only amazing things and love the look. if you’re up for splurging on a pair of tennis shoes, this brand is for you.
and finally, dad shoes are here to stay (at least for another season or two). the balenciaga triple s sneaker is, in my opinion, one of the most “beautifully” designed dad shoes. they’ve managed to keep it chic regardless of it’s dad shoe clunkiness. for a much more affordable option, the fila disruptor ii is super cute, comfortable and looks even better on than in the photos.
